Ever
since former fashion model Laure Connelly became the country’s youngest
thoroughbred trainer at the age of 18, she’s been making headlines.
Her astounding perfect score on her Trainer’s License exam was hailed
by veteran New York steward Francis Dunne as “amazing.”
Her highly successful career as a trainer was acclaimed not only in the
racing press, but also in The Dallas Morning News, The New
York Post, The New York Daily News and The New York Times.

"As
I reflect on my 30th anniversary as a thoroughbred trainer, I can't help
but be amazed at how much of the Bradford Lane Farm experience might be
considered unusual by today's standards. We still walk all our horses by
hand, preferring the human element to that of machines. We personally supervise
all treatments the horses receive to the point of doing up many of them
ourselves-the risk of an ill placed bandage being too great. Feed time finds
Kevin or me preparing the tubs with each horse's dietary concerns being
met. Personalized care to meet your horse's needs--which in turn makes for
a happy, healthy animal. And in an era where we are often required to leave
phone messages and wait for a response, we continue to be just a phone call
away with prompt and thorough information.
We have recently moved into our new barn. It incorporates efficient design
with quality construction that puts the horses first.
We are excited to introduce Hassinger Equine, an adjacent equine sports
medicine facility that includes the Aquapacer and a vast array of therapies
all just a short walk from our barn. Progressive treatment that gives owners
the peace of mind of rehab with no gaps in care.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts about our improvements. Having
these facilities, we will not be passively waiting for injuries to get better,
we will do the work to get them better. It is our passion and our specialty."

Kevin
was raised in the heart of Pennsylvania hunt country. He started riding
horses and ponies as a child and was an active participant in horse shows
and events. While attending high school, he moved on to race horses and
the world of steeplechasing. He rode for trainers Doug Small Jr. and Dr.
John R S Fisher. He won jump races for the latter at hunt meets and race
tracks including Delaware Park, Monmouth Park and Saratoga proudly wearing
the silks of such fine stables as Woodcrest and Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Janney.
He changed pace and started exercising flat horses in the early 80's for
Bob Camac at Delaware Park. In 1982 he moved south to the Fairgrounds in
New Orleans where he joined Laure as a rider and assistant trainer. They
have worked together since that time having racing stables at Bay Meadows,
Golden Gate, Santa Anita, Monmouth, and Belmont Park.
In 1986 Kevin moved to North Carolina with Laure and helped with the care
and conditioning of the more than 40 horses in their program.
Kevin and Laure were married in 1990 and have 2 children Allaire and Jonathan.
